In this great story of Wilson Bentley children can read of a man who loved the beauty of nature and in particular snow. After many years at the age of 66 Bentley finally published his book about snowflakes and opened the door for others everywhere to see the same beauty as the resident's of Vermont.
This book is designed for grades K-2 and the are many lesson plan sets that you can find on the internet to accompany it. It can be a great tool for introducing a unit on winter, or in art class when talking about photography.
